What a journey...As I embraced a foreign land...new vibrations flowed into my ears...the beats...as if the horses were dancing. I never new such passion...such sorrow with just one of my senses evoked...the sounds of Argentinean folk music what treat to taste. Just to name a few amazing artist, Atahualpa Yupanqu, Jorge Cafrune, Jose Larralde blessed me with their enchanted songs...my mind was filled with a unfamiliar language...that seemed so close to my heart...with the rain pouring down against my window...I painted...lost for hours in a trance...my soul began to speak.

Wonderful, Natasha!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find the exact Daubigny painting. If you look under his name on google, you'll see the reference. Very moody, evocative, understated color--the Barbizon school, just before the Impressionists. 1850's--which connects (mood wise) quite well with the Argentine sensibility. Anhelo is the word in Spanish--it mean's longing...
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I have NO idea where our profesor Chiarenzi got that image on his blog. It feels like something French, carried over to old Buenos Aires... Very appropriate. In any case, I'm glad you used it!
